Successful Academy Day 2026

The teams of EdiKILex and the Early New High German Dictionary presented their work together at the Academy Day 2026 in the historical Adam-von-Trott-Saal in Goettingen. The audience was high in numbers and greatly interested in aspects of AI, history of languages or scientific work at the academy in general. A fun start into conversation were both the games “Sir Lexico’s Adventures” and “Hunter of Forms”; the whole event proved a great recognition of the projects’ work. Kick-off celebration for EdiKILex (German)

The project team members come together for a first and festive meeting at the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Lower Saxony.

EdiKiLex Project Launch

The EdiKILex research project is set to begin. In the first stage Development, a digital working environment and the basics of a lemmatizer for early New High German texts are being developed.

• The EdiKILex Team will present their work at the 18. annual conference of the GGSG at the University Duisburg-Essen (in German).

November 06-07, 2026

• The EdiKILex Team will present their work at the annual workshop “Offen für alle? Zugang gestalten in den Digital Humanities” of the AG eHumanities at Berlin-Brandenburgischen Academy of Arts and Science (German).

November 18, 2026

• The EdiKILex Team will present their work at the Emerging Digital Methodologies at Oxford University.

March 15-17, 2027

• Conference “Lexikographie, Gesellschaft und KI” in Cooperation of EdiKILex and the international MA programme EMLex at the Academy of Arts and Science of Lower Saxony in Göttingen. Further information and the programme will be published soon.
