Since its founding in 1751, the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities has had approximately 2,500 members. The member directory contains all members since the Academy’s early years, including both current and deceased members. By default, only current members are displayed, and searches are initially limited to this selection. By clicking the "All since 1751" button, the search can be extended to include all members since the Academy was founded.

The search mask allows queries for individual members and provides further information about them, such as class affiliation, membership status (full or corresponding; formerly also external), fields of expertise, functions within the Academy, as well as prizes and distinctions. Many of these categories can also be applied as filters, enabling, for example, a display of all Nobel Prize laureates. As with any directory of this scope, occasional inaccuracies cannot be ruled out. Corrections or additions are welcome and may be submitted to gabriele.roeder@adwgoe.de.

Searches can be simplified by using wildcard characters (asterisk: any number of characters before or after; question mark: any single character). For example, searching for tan* will yield the first name Tanja and the surname Tangermann (as of 03/2024).
