Library

The Academy’s book collections are distributed across various subject libraries at multiple locations. Many of the Academy’s research projects maintain their own reference libraries within their respective offices. In addition, the Academy holds resources not (or no longer) tied to any individual project. These include deposit copies of Academy publications, collections from completed projects, and bequeathed materials.

Some of the book holdings spanning multiple projects and research initiatives are centrally located in the library room at Geiststraße 10, while others are housed in the main office building at Theaterstraße 7. Certain collections are also stored at the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB). To coordinate these diverse resources, the Academy established a Library Committee in 2018.

Access to the reference collections is available by prior arrangement. Please contact the library at adwbib@adwgoe.de
