Manfred Eigen Prize

The Academy awards a prize every two years from donated funds for outstanding scientific achievements in the natural and life sciences. The prize is fully named the ‘Manfred Eigen Prize of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Lower Saxony’ in honour of Professor Manfred Eigen (1927–2019), Nobel Prize laureate and full member of the Academy. 

The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros. The decision to establish the award was made in 2022.
