Periodicals

General information...

The list of periodicals, which were indexed for the GJZ 18-database, includes the periodicals indexed by the project "Scholarly Journals and Newspapers" (2011–2025) as well as those of the two previous Göttingen academy projects "Systematic Index of German-language Review Journals" (IdRZ 18, 1987–2007) and "Index of German-language Periodicals" (IdZ 18, p1975–1986).

For each periodical you will find the bibliographical data and a detailed table of contents, completed, if available, by information on its publishing history and individual characteristics. In addition, statistical evaluations, visualized as interactive diagrams, give an overview of the subjects on which individual journals focused. They also document which volumes were indexed. With the interactive map of the printing locations of each reviewed publication, you will gain an impression of possible regional focuses as well as possible international connections of individual periodicals.

Project database
Die Datenbank basiert auf der Zeitschriftenerschließung von drei Akademieprojekten, beginnend 1975, weshalb die Datensätze unterschiedliche Grade der Erschließungstiefe und des Nutzerkomforts aufweisen. Einträge des IdZ 18 und des IdRZ 18 sind nur teilweise auf Digitalisate verlinkt. Einträge des IdZ 18 sind nicht mit Systemstellen versehen. Informationen zu den einzelnen Projekten finden Sie hier:
