Protection of Whistleblowers
Have you obtained information in connection with your professional activities, or prior to starting a professional activity, about possible violations? Are you considering reporting such a violation so that appropriate follow-up measures can be taken? Your information can be forwarded through our reporting office to the relevant authorities and thus help ensure that violations are effectively detected, investigated, and addressed.
Whistleblowers play a crucial role in uncovering and addressing misconduct. However, there have been cases in the past where individuals faced professional disadvantages as a result of reporting wrongdoing. The aim of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) is to protect whistleblowers from such disadvantages and provide legal certainty. Another key aspect of the HinSchG is the safeguarding of their identity to the greatest extent possible.
Contacting the internal reporting office is the first step. The Academy’s Whistleblower Protection Officer is Ms. Annelies Stolle (annelies.stolle@adwgoe.de). On the following pages we have listed information about the legal scope of the act, protection for whistleblowers, available reporting channels, and the reporting procedure.
