In Memory of Dr. Kirstin Casemir

The staff council mourns the loss of its long-time chair, Dr. Kirstin Casemir.

Kirstin Casemir  was the department head for the Academy project “Place Names Between the Rhine and the Elbe” and, far beyond the scope of her own department, dedicated herself with great commitment to the Academy’s employees. She played a key role in ensuring that a staff council was elected for the first time in the Academy’s history in 2016 and has had a decided influence on its work ever since.

The well-being of the employees was always particularly close to her heart. We will remember her with gratitude for her reliability, her great personal warmth, and her tireless dedication.
