Facilities
In 1998, the Septuaginta-Unternehmen moved back to the first floor of Paul Anton de Lagarde’s former residence where it has been located ever since. The institute disposes of a renowned collection of manuscripts and literature:
- A unique collection of reproductions of Septuagint manuscripts, some on photo, some in facsimile, most on microfilm. In the framework of an ongoing digitization project, these reproductions are being archived in electronic format.
- A research library consisting of thousands of volumes, which includes a valuable collection of early printed editions, sources, research tools and rare secondary literature.
These collections are open for consultation by visiting scholars, who can be lodged on the top floor of the Lagarde house. In the Septuaginta-Unternehmen, they have an office (with internet access) at their disposal.
