2004–2007 assistant professor at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen; Oktober 2007–November 2012 assistant professor at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Institute for Nordic Philology); Habilitation thesis on Nordic Philology on the world view of the Icelanders in the manuscript tradition of the post-Reformation era, Habilitation procedure completed 12 December 2012; 2015 publication of the study Laienastrologie im nachreformatorischen Island.
Since December 2012 associate professor at the Institute for Nordic Philology at Munich University; January 2015–June 2016 interim professorship at the University of Oslo.
