Equal Opportunity Officers

The Equal Opportunity Officers of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities have extensive responsibilities under the Lower Saxony Equal Rights Act (NGG, Part Four, Section Two, § 20) and work closely together with the main office. They are involved in all staffing measures and appointment procedures, contribute to the development of organisational strategies, and offer advice on matters of equality, family-friendliness, and diversity. They are available to employees for confidential discussions in cases of unequal treatment, for example in conflicts with colleagues or supervisors. They also provide guidance on balancing work and family life, as well as individual career planning, especially in the context of fixed-term employment contracts. You may also contact them in situations of workplace overload or conflicts.

Of course, Equal Opportunity Officers also support employees in cases of sexual harassment at the workplace. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you feel harassed or threatened.

All communication and conversations are treated confidentially. Meetings can take place in person, via phone, or in a secure digital setting.
