Krüger, Jana, Dr. phil.
Academic career:
Studies of Nordic Philology, Linguistics and Archaeology at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel and the University of Bergen (Norway). 1999 MA, 2006 PhD. Since 2001 researcher at the Department of Nordic Philology at the University of Kiel: 2001–2009 in the project Linguistic database of the runic inscriptions in the Older Futhark, since 2009 in the project New edition of Skaldic poetry (both funded by the DFG); also, since 2002 lecturer (part time) at the Department of Nordic Philology at the University of Kiel.
Since April 2010 researcher in the long-term project of the Union of the Academies of Sciences (2010–2025) “Runische Schriftlichkeit in den germanischen Sprachen – Runic writing in the Germanic languages (RuneS)”, based at the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Göttingen.
Main research interests:
Runology, Kings’ sagas, Skaldic poetry.
